There is noise in the picture, but the composition is good.

Thank you Jens. Yes there is noise, (I think it was ISO 400 but unfortunately don't have the original file with me), which I tried to get rid of with the blur tool. The question is - does the noise distract or ruin the photo?!!

I think that sometimes the noise get exagerated when using the blur tool and compressing to jpg after that. It seems to happen if the noise isnt completely blurred out, but only reduced to lower contrast but bigger spots. These soft bigger noise spots tend to be enhanced after jpg compression. I find that using gaussian blur instead gives better result.
Might be totally wrong though since i am completely self-taught.

NoiseNinja is a nice tool. Combined with a couple of Photoshop tricks, it can work miracles.

Thanks for your comments guys. Rune, sometimes I find the blur tool (at abotu 28%) works very well but sometimes it seems to make a complete mess of things, particularly if the background is multicoloured.

Jakob, I haven't tried NoiseNinja, but have used NeatImage. I find that this makes the picture look like plastic. But then I probably don't know how to tweak the settings properly.
